- Talk to us about your needs.
- Sign up, pay the $649 recruitment fee, and complete the Executive In-Take Form.
- We begin the recruitment process from job posting and active sourcing, paper screening of applicants, first interview, skills testing and evaluation, more tests for personality and behavior, second interview, and endorsement of three shortlisted candidates best suited to your unique needs and management style.
- You or someone from your team conducts the final interview and picks your VA.
*If you are unable to pick someone from the first set of three, then we talk about your concerns, adjust our criteria for selection, and present a second set of three shortlisted candidates. - Your VA takes basic property management VA training, Fair Housing certification courses, and (optional) advanced training courses on tenant screening or leasing line call handling at $129/course. Complete training takes about three days.
- Your VA starts working for you!
It takes an average of 12 business days from the time you sign up to the time your VA joins your team.
You tell us immediately. We exist to ensure your complete satisfaction so if anything is amiss, let us know and we will investigate, coach the VA, and apply corrective actions as necessary. We will report back to you our findings and actions we’ve taken. We usually recommend that you give your VA at least two weeks to improve. If in two weeks you are still unhappy, then we will replace the VA for free if within the first 90 days.
- Tell Us
Tell us at least two weeks before the contract expires and we will immediately inform the VA of your intention. - Draw An Offer
If the VA is open to the idea, then we will proceed with helping you determine what a minimum offer might be acceptable to the VA for a direct hire. We do this because as our employee, the VA receives a lot of benefits which has monetary and non-monetary value such as security of tenure. As every VA is motivated differently, we want to ensure you are guided in what fair offer to make initially or at the minimum. We do not and cannot impose or demand a dollar amount for you to offer as the negotiations ultimately lies between you and the VA. We also do not promise the VA any dollar amount on your behalf. - Negotiate
Once you’ve decided on what offer to make the VA, you can proceed to negotiating with them directly. The VAs are aware that working for a client offshore would likely mean they will be hired as an independent contractor. - Hire Direct
If you agree on the rate and terms for their employment, then the VA resigns from OSSI and begins to work for you directly. This means that you take over all management work that OSSI performs on your behalf. We will be completely out of the picture. You also forfeit the security deposit paid at sign up.
The VA retains the right to refuse your offer and stay with OSSI. So if the VA declines the offer or an agreement is not reached, then you decide whether you want to continue subscribing to OSSI management in order to keep your VA, or to end the management contract altogether. We have absolutely no influence over the VA’s decision – we are not allowed to by law.
OSSI is a duly-registered Philippine company with offices in Makati City. Our VAs are a combination of both Filipinos and Mexicans who all work from home.
You do not pay any taxes for leasing a VA through OSSI. You just pay us a flat hourly rate and a monthly management fee. Our rates cover everything our Filipino VAs need by way of government benefits which means you don’t have to provide them anything more. Our Mexican VAs don’t receive similar government benefits as our Filipino VAs do, but that’s just because we are not bound by Mexican laws. They do, however, make significantly more per hour which allows them to pay for their own health insurance, for example.
